Boho Sling bag

I am loving all the cute little sling bag I have seen lately and decided to create one for myself. I haven't worn one since high school (so long ago). This is a beginner-friendly pattern, super easy and crochet up quickly. How do I start crocheting?

I am extremely grateful to have this personal little space on the internet at times like these. Lately I have been feeling positive about where I am going. The path is unknown (of course!) and I am not entirely sure where it is taking me yet buttt it feels right!

Since I started a new hobby, where crochet came into my life, I have fallen back in love with vintage fashion and dressing up to suit my mood and style. Believe me, my mood tends to be brighter and cheekier these days despite the struggles we face in life. Putting together outfits and creating different looks has always been where my creativity and excitement peaks. I simply love it.

Even if I am just staying indoors, I still feel like the effort it takes to dress up and maybe pop up a lil bit of blush is worth it. It forever lifts my mood and keeps me in touch with fond memories of loved ones.

Today as I was cleaning the house and watering my plants, I thought of stories of my mom and how she always used to dress up for housework. I am continuing the tradition! My mom was a knitter and I think of her almost always when I am playing around with yarn.

She is no longer with us but she lives on in my creations. I hope you are all hanging on in there and I hope the sun is shining where you are bringing some happiness. Love to you all!

Crochet is one of the cheapest hobbies when you first start learning. I found it hard at first but I promise you are going to get addicted to all of the beautiful yarn and its texture. I somehow have extra yarns more than I ever needed.

Obviously, the very basic crochet materials are yarn and a crochet hook but, I am going to list out a few others that can make things a little easier.

The basic materials and supplies you will need are:

  • Yarn
  • Crochet hooks
  • Yarn needle
To be honest, I was so confused about the crochet hooks sizes available, so I just ended up bought a 4mm crochet hook!

I did not want to spend that much money on this coz I was broke so I bought a mini-trial size that includes yarn and needle on Shopee. See, I am that broke! So, I waited for it and my crochet journey blooms ever since.

Thank you everyone for coming to my TedTalk(!!!!)
